I would like to take this moment to share our recent success in our Elementary Program. For those of you who are not aware, Ms Hilary is our Elementary teacher and her classroom consist of children from Kindergarten through 3rd grade. Ms Kathy also has some Kindergarteners in her class this year. During the month of March, we administered the Iowa Test to her classroom and we have received the results back. The Iowa Test is a standardized test that evaluates Vocabulary, Comprehension, Listening skills, Spelling, Punctuation, Math Computation, Problem Solving and Data, Social Studies and Science. The children’s results are compared to other private schools across the U.S.

As a results, we get a very detailed evaluation of our schools progress.

And the results are……

Miss Hilary’s and Ms Kathy’s Kindergarten Class came in at an overall 2.5 comp score…this means that our Kindergarten children, as a group, scored where an average 2nd grade, 5th month student scored across the nation, private school sector. This is Awesome!!!! They scored a 3.4 comp for vocabulary and 2.0 comp for reading comprehension.

Ms Hilary’s 1st graders came in at an overall 3.1 comp score…Yes….3rd grade and 1 month! WOW!! They scored an 3.8 for Word Analysis and 3.0 overall for Math.

Ms Hilary’s 2nd graders came in at an overall 5.5 comp….5th grade and 5 months! Awesome!! They scored 6.0 for Vocabulary, 5.2 for overall reading, 5.5 for Math Probability and Data, 6.2 for Social Studies and 6.1 for Science!

I would like to congratulate Ms Hilary, Ms Kathy, their staff and the SUPER SMART Children of QI Montessori!!!! Their results show that having small ratios, individualized attention, strong educational program, great kids, strong staff and, of course, families that believe in supporting a strong educational foundation can produce amazing results!!
